Infinity Systems Engineering LTD are recruiting for an experienced Permanent Principal System Safety Engineer to work on a Permanent basis. The System Safety Engineer should have at least 10 years of experience in the Submarine-Maritime and Defence sectors and be comfortable in a customer-facing role. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be carrying out a wide range of Safety Engineering activities across a variety of Defence projects.

Experience in the production and maintenance of Safety Reports and Plans: e.g. Safety Case Reports and Safety Management Plans.
Experience in carrying out Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis.
Team and People Management Experience.
Safety assessment and management experience working on UK Submarine programs either within the SDA or supporting the design and manufacturing activities of UK submarines.
Nuclear Safety Design Justification (NSDJ) and Design Safety Justification Plans (DSJP).
WOME &Strategic Weapons Systems safety assessments.
Legislation Compliance Assessments and Statements.
Hazard Log Management including eCassandra.
Experience working on complex systems.
Experience working with DE&S and following the ASEMS process.
Ability to work effectively across multiple project

Hazardous Materials Dossier production or maintenance.
Experience in carrying out Fault Tree Analysis (e.g. Isograph Reliability Workbench).
Requirements management.
Experience with Failure Modes, Effects (and Criticality) Analysis.
Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering.
Experience working with IEC 61508.
Familiarity with ARP4754A, or DO178C/DO254 and ARP4761.
Understanding of safety assurance of software and/or complex hardware.
Understanding / experience working with DEF STAN 07-85.
Electronics Engineering experience.

Ideally be degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
Candidates will ideally be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent experience.
Candidates MUST be UK Nationals and eligible for UK Security Clearance.
